Slow, Confusing, Indulgent, Quirky, Excruciating

Beautifully lit, well staged and set, Solid, brilliant performances, Weirdly romantic, dark, Thought-provoking, Edgy, ambitious, intense

See it if You're up for a simultaneously dark, disturbing, somewhat creepy and funny meditation on unrequited love, the Other & what it is to be human

Don't see it if You've a weak stomach, are a prude; don't like love stories, Grand Guignol, Freaks or Beatles songs all well-mixed by a terrific cast & co.

Also It's surprising that a play so well-written, so layered and so well ex... Read more Read less

Surprising, Absorbing, Edgy, Quirky

See it if I didn’t know what to expect but I was surprised. It’s weird but somehow, because the actors are good, they gave me a way to connect.

Don't see it if It is a strange sexual relationship between three people? And may just be too bizarre

Great staging, Indulgent, Intense, Great acting, Ambitious

See it if you like dark post-apocalyptic explorations, and don't mind the playwright going off on poetic riffs having nothing to do with these people

Don't see it if you like linear plays with clear easily comprehensible characters and stories

Feral, Raunchy, Edgy, Great acting, Ambitious

See it if Caged feral Beatles-luvin' she-beast, Beauty, finds desire at the centre of an absurdist pet shop luv triangle. Caged! Two hours w/o break.

Don't see it if Too mundane to be provocative or particularly lingering. When it could be deep & metaphorical, it veers out "I'm a moon,I want to orbit you"

Also "I hate when the world changes/It changes all the time/I hate the worl... Read more Read less

See it if You like highly symbolic dark comedies on the themes of lust, unrequited love, and fetishization.

Don't see it if If you are not into the exploration of kinky ideas or do not liKe the idea of magical realism melted into dark comedies

Also I totally get the reviews but I enjoyed the show. It is a dark comedy ... Read more Read less

See it if You want to see a piece different than standard fare, filled with interesting visceral components, off beat humor and heartfelt romanticism.

Don't see it if You can't sit for 100 intermissionless minutes without going to the bathroom.

Also Do not be fooled by all of the low ratings for this gem of a piece. I'... Read more Read less

See it if Revival of Migdalia Cruz's seminal play, a fractured Beauty and the Beast story about female wildness and human cruelty.

Don't see it if If you have trouble with material that might be triggering of trauma, this may not be your show

Must see, Edgy, Clever, Absorbing

See it if You want to see a play with incredible acting, and a script that pulls you into a story that will make you think and appreciate life and lov

Don't see it if You are looking for a kitchen sink play. If you are looking for a traditional play don't go. This play is for the adventurous.

Also The actress that plays Citrona is masterful. I don't want to spoil the... Read more Read less

"Fur has the distinction of having the most unpalatable premise of the season so far… whatever [its] ideas about women, power, sexuality, freedom, male vanity, and the disruptive power of lust may be, they are impossible to make out in these overheated surroundings."

"While it's effectively staged, Fur is not for everyone. If you're a theatergoer who avoids plays with violent, visceral content or who is put off by ambiguity, you may decide to take a pass on it. Those who go, though, are not likely to soon forget the production or its unusual central character."
