Absorbing, Great singing, Edgy, Entertaining, Great music

See it if You want to see something different. You want to hear great singing and fantastic music. You want to hear about failed relationships.

Don't see it if You don't like a small production. You don't like live music playing the score to this play. You want to see something upbeat.

Great singing, Confusing, Slow, Operetta, Ambitious

See it if Spectacular singing & amazing female lead. Operetta which would have been better as a one act. Interestingly done w/good production values.

Don't see it if Two person cast not enough to hold your interest. Very confusing back & forth w/time & characters. Cast needs to be enlarged & play edited.

Great singing, Entertaining

See it if you enjoy good music and lyrics. The female lead is great.

Don't see it if you need to care about the characters. The main character is a lout and unsympathetic.

Ambitious, Cliched, Confusing, Delightful, Great music

See it if you like operettas (I do!). The music is grand, the singing is accomplished, and the story is emotionally stirring, if predictable.

Don't see it if You don't like two-hander, sung-through musicals, or a show that focuses more on music than plot. Heavy drinking and cheating upsets you. Read more

Great singing, Confusing, Uneven, Intense, Nice score

See it if You like intimate, minimalist, sung-through musicals; you want to hear some lovely voices sing a lush new score

Don't see it if You're expecting something large-scale; you want something uplifting; you need to care about the characters to enjoy a show Read more

Confusing, Great singing, Slow

See it if you like new operettas and don't mind non-linear plot

Don't see it if covering decades of timeline with one actress playing countless characters all in 80 minutes would confuse you
