3LD presents Kev Berry's solo examination of the role of 'housewife' in the past, present, and future, as seen through the eyes of Nora from Ibsen’s 'A Doll’s House.' More…
Equal parts outer-space drag performance, Norwegian kitchen-sink drama, and American karaoke opera, this one-man show irreverently deconstructs Ibsen’s drama into a series of '90s female punk-rock anthems, monologues, and vignettes modeled after a series of '50s housewife etiquette films. 'Nora Goes 2 Space, Motherfuck*r!' looks at the emergence of second-wave feminism, and celebrates past progresses and triumphs, while being searingly truthful about how far we still have to go before we’re all equal.
See it if you're interested in Ibsen, drag, and solo performance. If you want to experience early work of ambitious new drag/solo performer Kev Berry.
Don't see it if you hate experimental theater, drag or solo performance. If you hate Ibsen or expect a strong emotionally resonant narrative arc.
