About the show

The Arctic Group's world-premiere production explores the global refugee crises through a retelling of the Greek myth of Persephone. More…

Persephone is abducted to the underworld, but the place isn't really what she expected. Meanwhile, Hades has his own problems, especially with the memory archive at capacity with all the refugees pouring into the world of the dead. Part of IRT Theater's 3B Development Series, 'Pomegrenade' examines the trauma we inflict upon ourselves and the importance of maintaining the vitality of memories.
