The Billie Holiday Theatre presents the New York premiere of Richard Wesley's political drama about an African-American mayor whose bid for governor threatened by another black candidate.

A veteran big-city mayor is in line to become the first black governor of his state. But his historic ascendance is threatened when his party opts to support a dynamic young black politician—who just happens to be the mayor’s protégé. This timely drama explores the conflicts that arise when aspirations collide across a generational divide marked by sharply different political agendas.

See it if You like longs shows (a drama) with even longer expositions. The setting is urban, but the theme(s) are universal.

Don't see it if You are not into seeing gritty dramas that show the seedier side of Black politics. If you do not like Black-On-Black political rivalries.
