See it if You want to see theatre that is incredibly funny and not easy to explain. STRONG CAST and great script. Don't miss this
Don't see it if You don't like theatre that admits it's theatre. It's pretty meta
See it if you use theater to ride an emotional roller coaster; you like self-referential pieces, dark humor, & funny but deeply damaged characters.
Don't see it if you just want to go home feeling happy; you're not up for constant reminders of humanity's biggest atrocities and cruelest impulses.
See it if you want to see a meta-play that involves interesting themes that require a lot of brain power to unpack. I give it a B grade.
Don't see it if you want a traditional play following a set arc, because this play is essentially two different plays and its direction can be confusing.
See it if you ever spend too much time thinking about the birth & death of the universe and humanity's uncanny ability to be cruel
Don't see it if you're turned off by nihilism or bored with existentialism
See it if You're ready for something new! You are interested in theater that will ask you to grapple with a WIDE range of emotions. You like fun.
Don't see it if You dislike meta theater.
See it if Want to see Our Town in 2016 through the eyes of a nihlist in an explosive, well performed, thoughtful and POWERFUL piece of pure art
Don't see it if You're looking for escapism. Get ready for a straight left hook of existentialism.
See it if You love innovative theater masterfully executed! The Writing is incredibly intelligent and is matched by exquisite Acting!! A MUST SEE!!!!
Don't see it if You dont like risk taking. It may be uncomfortable at times for sensitive viewers BUT it is TASTEFULLY executed. There is nothing unecessary
See it if you want to see something truly original and new. By far one of the most unique plays I've seen in the past 20 years here in NYC.
Don't see it if you are not willing to use your imagination.

"Gives us a lot to think about: Why are humans so awful? Why do we seek self-gratification? Why do we wonder and imagine and try? But also, why do we want and want so much, but never do? 'You Don’t Matter' takes the complicated discussion of humanity, why we’re so horrible to ourselves and each other, and presents it to us to digest in a way that’s easy to understand. But, did we learn anything new? Does it really matter?"

"The play becomes a fascinating examination of how we hurt our loved ones to a powerfully uncomfortable look at how we hurt everyone around us…Anna’s time spins wildly out of control and then abruptly, the play is over. The audience is left reeling–thinking about not just their own existence, but their existence in relation to others. To the universe. It’s overwhelming, and frightening, but most of all, beautiful."

"The play took a dark tone to start with…The show had its funny moments, as well. Robert and Anna actually reminded me a lot of my relationships with certain people. Showing that a play could relate to me, they had me laughing. I mean, we are all human at the end of the day right? But of course just like every other unexpected turn in this play it challenged even that question."
