See it if you love to laugh. This show was amazingly clever. Acting, singing and dancing were top notch.

Don't see it if Something similar was said to Nick Bottoms "Don't be a penis this show is genius"

See it if you want to have a really good time and laugh a lot! It helps if you're familiar with Shakespeare but it's not a necessity. Superb cast!

Don't see it if you would rather die than even hear the name "Shakespeare." Or if comedy and musicals aren't your thing.

"Casey Nicholaw has directed with the secure speed that he gave 'The Book of Mormon'...One thing’s for sure. Karey and Wayne Kirkpatrick, who are siblings, have written something far more successful than the Bottom brothers ever could. 'Something Rotten!' contains more laughs than all our other current Broadway shows combined. That phenomenal first act production number won’t be all you’ll be applauding wildly."

"By the time this initially delightful, eventually repetitive Broadway extravaganza ends, you too may feel a slight impatience not only with Shakespeare but with the entire musical theatre genre."

"I haven’t had such a good, silly time at the theater since 'Spamalot' or maybe 'The Producers' as I did last night at 'Something Rotten.' The new musical is possibly the Best Musical Tony winner and definitely a strong nominee after its opening last night...'Something Rotten' is just a pure delight."

"'Something Rotten!', its excesses sometimes going too over-the-top, nonetheless, is fun, clever, and containing a bevy of high-spirited, ebullient actors...Director/choreographer Casey Nicholaw’s work is well-thought out bringing forth superb performances. As choreographer his dance numbers bring down the house."

"If there is one flaw with the show is that it's all fluff and not enough stuff. There is very little heart in the show, even though there are some attempts at a couple of love stories...It aims to please and it succeeds! Super well done!!"

"A rare theatrical event…a wonderful musical farce. Anyone who wants to go to the theatre and have a great time, unburdened by a complicated plot, listen to fun lyrics, and experience two acts of non-stop laughter…this “very new musical” should be their play of choice!"

"One cannot stop basking in the memories of the unmitigated joy which has just played out over the course of two hours and thirty minutes of sheer, unadulterated bliss...As a piece of ribald, shameless and hysterical musical theatre, 'Something Rotten' is unrivaled on Broadway at present. It is fresh, fabulous and frenetic fun...go see 'Something Rotten' – it will restore your faith that musical theatre can be magical in every way."
