Funny, Delightful, Clever

See it if you love ‘Goes Wrong’ style farces. Performed by an incredibly talented cast who manage to ramp up the comedy through each of the 3 acts.

Don't see it if you’re not a fan of physical comedy, this will do little to change your mind. Much more charming than anything I’ve seen Go Wrong, though.

Theatre Weekly (UK)
October 5th, 2023

“Lindasy Posner’s production demonstrates just how magnificent Frayn’s play actually is, the second act, in particular, demonstrates the intense choreography required to pull off any theatrical production, and that couldn’t be truer for Noises Off. It is extremely clever and wildly funny, and even forty years on remains a masterclass in farce.”

“ ‘Noises Off’ is a shining example of its genre and will undoubtably have it’s audience in stitches during its run in this iconic venue.”

“Noises Off is a great example of an 80’s comedy. It has an entertaining structure and premise, it just feels dated. It would be interesting to see a fully revamped modern interpretation.”

Noises Off is always funny, but it’s always funniest the first time. I envy those discovering it in Herrin’s production — you’re in for a rib-splitting treat.

“Minor niggles aside, Frayn’s comic classic seems to be bulletproof. Hats, and trousers, off to him.”

“Michael Frayn’s ‘Noises Off’ is a classic, a landmark of metatheatrical humour that also mercilessly brought the curtain down – literally – on the rum sex comedies of the ’60s and ’70s. ”

“Thank heavens for Michael Frayn and his restoratively silly play 'Noises Off,' which helps combat the winter blues with its Saharan-strength warmth and battles the doom and gloom of our age with a kind of inverted logic: yes, we’re in a mess but at least we lead the world in organised theatrical chaos.”

“It's a tightrope act of performance, wonderfully mastered here. The entire thing breezes away the January blues with glorious brilliance. It is an utter treasure.”
