Thought-provoking, Quirky, Profound, Great staging, Great singing

See it if You’re a fan of new musical theatre. If you are it’s well worth the visit, before it unfortunately closes. Not your traditional musical

Don't see it if You don’t like musicals, don’t want to see something about mental health issues, or looking for big production numbers

Funny, Great acting, Nonsensical, Interesting, Ambitious

See it if you’d enjoy something that isn’t amazing but strange enough to hold your interest for the duration. It’s mainly worth the time for Sheridan.

Don't see it if you need this to be more coherent and purposeful than it is. Read more

Tense

See it if I can see why it's controversial / elements aren't great but I enjoyed the performances, some of the songs, camera work and the second half.

Don't see it if You're not up for something a bit out there.

Great acting, Disappointing, Confusing, Clever

See it if Not as bad as reviews make out. Confusing mish mash but has its moments.

Don't see it if You have no idea what to expect from Ivo van Hove.

What were they thinking?

See it if You MUST see Rufus Wainwright’s only musical (so far).

Don't see it if You can live with yourself never having seen Rufus Wainwright’s only musical.

Intense, Wordy, Melodramatic, Heavy, Banal

See it if you're a Smith devotee. Sherri wants us to feel that this is meta/Stanislavsky-esq casting in every fibre.

Don't see it if You want it easy - the songs don't make it a musical, the special effects don't make it avant garde, the misogyny could touch a nerve...

Lacklustre, Bewildering, Clumsy, Chaos, Tedious

See it if There is so much going on at once it gets sort of crazy but I suppose that's what creates the atmosphere for the music & characters

Don't see it if you are expecting to see a stage version of the indie film Opening Night from 1977

Poor, Irritating, Distracting, Misogynistic, Confusing

See it if If you want to see the misogynistic musical, that confuses you from start to finish. The only thing to save is the talent of the cast.

Don't see it if If you prefer spend your money more wisely. Read more
