PopUP Theatrics presents an immersive, site-specific piece that invites audiences to explore the Cathedral of St. John the Divine while witnessing one world with your eyes as another unfolds in your mind. More…
Unfolding in several locations on the campus of St. John the Divine, 'Inside' uses micro-narration delivered through various common media devices to describe events unfolding in real time. In this age of fake news and alternative facts, reality is subject to wildly divergent interpretations stemming from belief systems that are rudely at odds. Part walking tour with micro narration, and part participatory event, 'Inside' cross-pollinates narrated and choreographed storytelling with the inherent theatricality of a communally discovered common space. Performed for 22 audience members per night in groups of two.
See it if Immersive play loosely based on the book "A Wrinkle in Time" that was written by the resident librarian while she actually worked there.
Don't see it if Disjointed and awkward.. only minor elements of the actual book plot incorporated.
