Allegra lives in a quiet village but experiences the world as if it were a musical. She sings at home, in the street, and in shops and restaurants, sometimes accompanied only by the music in her imagination, other times turning everyday moments into full performances that disrupt those around her. As her exuberance unsettles the community, her brother Ronen and her carer Anna attempt to balance her freedom with the practical realities of village life.

Maureen Lipman leads the production as Allegra. Framed as a comedy with integrated musical sequences, the piece explores family relationships as Ronen and Anna confront the increasing challenges of caring for someone whose joyful spirit coexists with signs of cognitive decline.
