A British-born Indian woman and an Indian-born man fall in love, sharing wedding celebrations, Bollywood humour and dreams for their future together. As their relationship develops, questions of identity begin to surface: where home truly is, what language their child should speak, and who defines what it means to be Indian. As family expectations and cultural assumptions collide, the couple navigate love, heritage and the experience of living between two worlds.

The play is written by Mohit Mathur (Dial 1 for UK, Life of Pi performer) and directed by Leigh Toney, whose credits include The Mirror and the Light, The Da Vinci Code UK tour and productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company. The production combines spoken theatre with movement to explore questions of migration, identity and belonging.

Originally developed with support from ArtsAdmin, the production premiered at Riverside Studios' Bitesize Festival, where it won Best Show in 2025, before transferring to Brighton Fringe in 2026, where it was shortlisted for Best New Writing.
