A revival of David Eldridge's warmly comic play about the blossoming of a new relationship.
Danny and Laura find themselves alone after a party. Rather than going their separate ways, they take a chance and toy with the prospect of embarking on something new in this uplifting rom-com. "Beginnings" premiered at the National Theatre in 2017 before a run in the West End.
Beginning is a tender comedy full of well-observed detail and recognisable emotional vulnerability. Attempts to build emotional bridges keep on fizzling, but the energy remains reasonably steady.
