A new immersive musical set inside a Scottish ceilidh where a family story unfolds through song and dance.
Ceilidh is a new musical set within the framework of a traditional Scottish gathering, where a caller leads the audience through music, dance, and shared ritual. As the evening progresses and the ceilidh takes hold, a family story begins to emerge beneath the celebration — one of love, legacy, and the particular significance of this night's gathering. The production is designed to meet audiences wherever they are, whether participating on the floor or watching from above.
Created by Scott Gilmour and Claire McKenzie of Noisemaker, the musical is directed and choreographed by Sam Pinkleton, who won the Tony Award for Oh, Mary!. Following a sell-out season in Baltimore, Ceilidh makes its UK premiere at Shoreditch Town Hall.
