In 1940 as the Germans are advancing on Paris, and a case containing letters is transported to London. This correspondence reveals the story of the brilliant actress known as 'Mrs Pat' and George Bernard Shaw. The two met in 1899 and collaborated on the renowned play Pygmalion. Their personal relationship developed through world conflicts, leading them to fall in love and then separate, all while maintaining their written communication. Jerome Kilty's play uses their own witty, unfiltered words to explore the extraordinary bond between the two theatrical figures, showing how attraction and ambition clashed as major global events unfolded around them.
