Set in northern Uganda, Far Gone follows Okumu, a young boy whose life is transformed when his village is attacked by the Lord’s Resistance Army. Told through a blend of humour, poetry, and physical theatre, the play charts his path from childhood innocence to forced soldiering, capturing the emotional and moral aftermath of war.

Written by John Rwothomack and directed by Mojisola Kareem, the piece draws on Rwothomack’s own near abduction by the LRA. After a celebrated national tour, this Brixton House return marks part of a world tour spanning the USA, Taiwan, South Africa, and the UK, continuing its exploration of conflict, identity, and resilience.
