About the Show

A new family drama about Leila and how her life turns around when her mother returns from prison.

An exploration of duty, addiction and familial ties set in a working-class Muslim family.

Leila lives with her grandma Noor, a traditional but loving woman. Leila's predictable life is flipped on its head when her freewheeling mother returns from prison and creates a world of fun with trips to the nail salon and offers of sweet treats. When the family's dark secrets are later revealed, Leila must make difficult decisions about her future.

Written by playwright Ambreen Razia ('Diary of a Hounslow Girl').
