See it if Vocals of the cast were fantastic

Don't see it if You don’t like being made to feel a part of the show, eye contact with the cast can be very intense at parts

See it if The performers and the trio were great. The production made effective use of the limited space in the Studio.

Don't see it if The music/songs are good. The book needs work. Expects us to fill in a lot of missing info and has a very confusing timeline (lack of).

See it if The performers are absolutely fantastic!! The music is absolutely wonderful! The space is used tremendously well. The book is confusing tho!

Don't see it if I feel it falls into a similar camp to Titanic in that it’s a mass tragedy but doesn’t give the audience enough time to care about any 1 psn

"The cast work best singing in harmony which, like the dancing we saw only in the finale, is inexplicably rationed out parsimoniously."

"This show has some great ideas, but it feels some distance from becoming a finished piece of musical theatre."

“A bold, revolutionary and fearless piece of theatre that celebrate queerness, politics and culture. Hopefully this isn’t the last we see of ‘Fury and Elysium.’ “

This is a musical with huge potential. The score, by Calista Kazuko Georget, is captivating, and really drives the piece. Stephanie Martin’s script has some really powerful dialogue, though it struggles in its more soapbox-y moments. The score echoes the rhythms and harmonics of 1930s Germany whilst remaining true to its musical theatre form, and they give us one of the strongest act-one finishes I have seen in a new musical.

"'Fury and Elysium' provides a glimpse into the vibrant icons of Weimar Berlin, albeit with plenty of room for improvement...The lack of a cohesive plot leaves the production searching for a more defined purpose...With further refinement, this production still has the potential to truly captivate audiences and immerse them in the essence of Weimar Berlin’s tumultuous world."
