A family pantomime where Jack climbs a magical beanstalk to outwit a giant.
Jack and his mother, Dame Dotty Trott, have fallen on hard times and are forced to sell their beloved cow, Pat. With the help of an unconventional fairy and a handful of magical beans, Jack climbs a towering beanstalk to Cloudland in search of fortune. Standing between him and success is a giant, setting the stage for a classic pantomime adventure filled with comedy, music and fantasy.
The production is written by Anthony Spargo, winner of the UK Pantomime Award for Best Script (2025), who also stars in the production. It is directed by James Haddrell, Artistic and Executive Director of Greenwich Theatre, with musical direction by Steve Markwick. The creative team reunites following Greenwich Theatre's award-winning pantomime productions.
Produced by Greenwich Theatre, this new staging of the traditional fairy tale continues the venue's long-running pantomime tradition. Combining familiar characters with original comic writing, songs and audience participation, the production is presented in the theatre's Main House for the 2026–27 festive season.
