A valet untangles upper-class chaos in a solo adaptation of P. G. Wodehouse’s comedy.
Based on the work of P. G. Wodehouse, Jeeves Takes Charge follows the comic entanglements of Bertie Wooster, his resourceful valet Jeeves, and an array of eccentric relatives, friends, and acquaintances. Adapted into a one-man stage production, the play features twenty-two characters brought to life by a single performer as the story moves through mistaken identities, romantic complications, and upper-class social chaos characteristic of Wodehouse’s world.
The creative team includes designer Caite Hevner, lighting designer Tim Mitchell, and sound designer Paul Groothuis. The production was originally introduced to the West End by Cameron Mackintosh and Andrew Lloyd Webber alongside Barbara Dickson and Bernard Theobald.
