Julie D’Aubigny - better known as Mademoiselle Maupin - was a 17th-century opera singer who will go down in history as one of the most chaotic women to have ever lived. She was one of the first public figures to live as an openly bisexual woman, she seduced nuns, dueled multiple men at once, burned down convents, was bribed by princes, and innovated opera – all before she turned 30.
