About the Show

The return of intimate candlelit concerts with a string quartet playing songs from hit musicals.

Musicals by Candlelight presents a selection of musical theatre songs arranged for string quartet and performed by Icon Strings. The concert takes place inside The Actors’ Church in Covent Garden, with the performance illuminated by hundreds of candles.

The programme brings together songs from classic and contemporary musicals, offering instrumental arrangements of familiar stage music. Icon Strings musicians have performed at venues including the Royal Opera House and Royal Albert Hall.

This production is recommended for ages 6+.

For a previous production

An hour is definitely not enough, and I could have sat there for hours. The world-class musicians, who are internationally successful and can be heard on iconic soundtracks such as Downton Abbey and The Matrix are stealing the spotlight in their own show. I wanted to close my eyes but also not miss any moment in the fantastic atmosphere of the Actors’ Church.
