An exploration of Londoners & Latinx women who expose a money laundering scandal.
Four Latinx women in South London uncover a secret money-laundering agreement between a major bank and drug cartels and set out to expose it. Blending heist structure with telenovela influences, the story follows Alejandra, Lucia, Honey and Catalina as identity, history, and social status collide across protest, performance, and direct confrontation with financial power.
The production is co-created by Valentina Andrade, Elizabeth Alvarado, Lucy Wray, Tommy Ross-Williams and Joana Nastari, and is rooted in the lived experiences of Andrade and Alvarado. It was a finalist for Best Production (Plays) at the OFFIES Awards 2024 and received an OFFIES Special Recognition Award for Representation. The work returns following a previously sold-out run.
Presented by The Hale and Brixton House, the production is performed in English with English, Spanish, and Portuguese surtitles available at every performance.
