“The McOnie Company’s ‘Nutcracker’ at The Tuff Nutt Jazz Club is an unusual, but welcome, addition to London theatre’s Christmas line-up. In a city filled with the usual offerings of Dickens and Panto, ‘Nutcracker’ is entirely unique and will leave you grinning from ear to ear.”

“ ‘Nutcracker’ at the Tuff Nutt Jazz Club is a great idea for a show and has been executed tremendously. You can't help but buy into the festive spirit as you experience a flurry of slow (and the hilarious way it was disposed of). Traditionalists may struggle to accept this new version but others will welcome this new approach with open arms. Drew McOnie should be commended for his bold vision and the execution of it.”

“The storytelling is sound, even if it does plump for the obvious; its message about being true to yourself is wholesome...But it is a brashly fun alternative to the usual ‘Nutcracker’ experience.”
