Set entirely in a theatre dressing room, Petty Men follows two understudies caught in a psychological and performative tug-of-war as they rehearse a fractured production of Julius Caesar. Their attempt to outdo one another in a show relay spirals into a surreal collapse of character and identity, blurring the lines between performance and reality.

This radical reworking of Shakespeare’s political tragedy is created by John Chisham, Júlia Levai, and Adam Goodbody, and is dedicated to the memory of trailblazing director Buzz Goodbody (The Tempest, King Lear at the Royal Shakespeare Company).
