Compelling, Tuneful, Enchanting, Fun, Delightful

See it if ...you want a truly eye-opening, fun, and thoughtful show that deals with real world subject matter in a compelling way. Brilliant acting.

Don't see it if ...you're drawn to "bigger" pieces and don't want to see a two-hander. I actually think most audiences will love this piece, though. Read more

See it if you want to see a very clever written 2-Person-Musical with a good score and an interesting story.

Don't see it if you expect a classic big west end show with a big ensemble. Read more

Delightful, Entertaining, Great acting, Great singing

See it if you want to see a great new British musical, two fab performers and a clever use of a fairly small-ish set! YOU WILL SMILE!!!

Don't see it if You want a super cohesive story. The middle section skips through a lot of things that I would've LOVED to have seen but it's fun!

Slow, Indulgent, Fluffy, Quirky, Interesting

See it if you would love experiencing a new musical telling an interesting story.

Don't see it if if you get taken out of the story by accents that are overdone. I wanted to love this, but was distracted by the overly hokey NY accent.

Delightful, Entertaining

See it if You are looking for something more subtle than the west end shows but with a great cast and entertaining performances

Don't see it if You are looking for a big production as the cast that are brilliant make the show

"The story has the potential to be truly compelling. This is real musical theatre entertainment, whisking you away on a grand adventure for the night."

“Andrusier gives a stormingly OTT performance: schmoozing the crowd, flashing between vulnerable and abrasive, belting out numbers at the level of a yell...Still, there isn’t enough grit in the skimpy story, or conviction in the book and lyrics, to make this anything but lightweight.”

“ ‘Ride’ doesn’t tell its tale in the Phileas Fogg way you expect it to. That’s its greatest drawback and its greatest achievement.”

Ride has a fantastic story that anyone can enjoy, coupled with catchy and soaring songs, it makes for a delightful night of musical theatre. While it works perfectly well as a one-act musical, audiences might be wondering if expanding it out might allow us more of a chance to understand Annie, her achievements, and her obvious heartache

“If a great show has the ability to make you feel something, ‘RIDE’ does this better than most. Its bold choice to completely flip the narrative into something with a lot of depth and poignancy connected with me in a way that reminded me what theatre has the ability to do at its best...With a show as sensational as this, expect it to go all around the world.”

“Sarah Meadows’s production... often feels claustrophobic, performed within a mahogany proscenium arch that frames an office lined with worthy-looking books...the volume is unrelenting. If there’s one thing that this show demonstrates, it’s that beltier isn’t always best.”

“ ‘Ride’ is going from strength to strength, capitalising on existing successes and somehow making their last near perfect run even better. The two-woman show is well suited to the intimacy offered by smaller venues...allowing the audience to fully grasp the characters’ bravery, loneliness, escape, love and desire for change up close.”
