Live music, puppetry, and theatre bring Tom Percival’s beloved children’s story to life.
Based on the book by Tom Percival, Ruby’s Worry follows a young girl who lives a happy life until she discovers a mysterious worry that grows larger the more she tries to ignore it. As the worry begins to take over, Ruby meets a boy who has one of his own, and together they learn the importance of sharing feelings to help them fade away.
The production is created by MishMash Productions in partnership with Nottingham City Libraries. Adapted for the stage from the original Bloomsbury-published picture book, the show is performed with live music, original songs, puppetry, and physical theatre to convey the emotional journey of its characters.
Aimed at children aged 3–7, this 40-minute performance is presented at Polka Theatre’s Adventure Theatre in Wimbledon. The production blends storytelling with interactive theatrical elements, bringing the heart of Percival’s book to the stage for young audiences and families.
