The play centers on Krishna, a trans performance artist whose decision to try to get pregnant triggers an unexpected and devastating rupture with his mother. What begins as a present-day conflict unfolds into a layered family history involving love triangles, missing relatives, and unspoken losses. As past and present collide, the story examines how pregnancy becomes a site where memory, identity, and grief are passed down and reinterpreted across generations.

The work is created and performed by Krishna Istha alongside his mother Geetha Shankar, drawing directly from their lived relationship. Styled as a cinematic, Bollywood-inspired family saga, the production is the second installment in a trilogy, following First Trimester. Second Trimester is the first Making Waves production produced and presented by Battersea Arts Centre, where the earlier work was presented in 2023.
