Great acting, Slow, Resonant, Banal, Thoughtful

See it if You’re interested in solo shows about love and loss

Don't see it if You’re looking for something truly original—I feel like I’ve seen this play before. I also expected more music.

Profound, Intense, Great writing, Great acting, Absorbing

See it if you love Simon Stephens and Will Young. This play is intensely emotional and Will performs it with the right shades of dark and light.

Don't see it if You're hard of hearing. Small theatre but I struggled because the incidental music / background noise was sometimes too loud. Mic off maybe?

“Young is good company, sweet-voiced and affable, but you are left craving something more gutsy and raw.”

"Smoothly directed by Kirk Jameson, the production marks the first time that Young has carried a dramatic play by himself. And he does it splendidly."

“An 80-minute monologue about a grieving hedge-fund manager may not sound as though a particularly enticing prospect. But there is an alchemical magic in Kirk Jameson’s production, with Will Young performing Simon Stephens and Mark Eitzel’s spikily touching one-man play.”
