About the Show

A revival of Roy Williams' Olivier Award-nominated play exploring being young and black in the 80s.

Leon and Troy have grown up in a boxing gym, vying for the approval of their trainer, Charlie. Charlie’s daughter, Becky, is trying to keep a big secret along with Leon. In a ruthless world, there can only be one winner, and it’s time for everyone to get into the ring to face up to who they really are …

This marks the regional premiere of 'Sucker Punch', which won a Alfred Fagon Award, The Writers Guild Award and was nominated for an Olivier Award when it first opened at the Royal Court in 2010.
