The play centers on Mayuri, a yoga professor navigating the contradictions of modern wellness culture. Surrounded by incense, turmeric lattes, and branded athleisure, she finds herself the only South Asian practitioner in spaces built on traditions rooted in her own heritage. As commercialization reshapes spiritual practice, questions of ownership, authenticity, and erasure rise to the surface.

Performed by Mayuri Bhandari, the piece introduces the figure of Kali, the Hindu goddess of death, as a theatrical counterforce to consumer-driven spirituality. Through satire and confrontation, the work examines wellness capitalism and cultural appropriation, positioning liberation and lineage against commodification and trend.
