A greedy croc meets his match in this Roald Dahl musical with puppets, jungle mischief, and toe-tapping tunes.
In this musical adaptation of Roald Dahl’s The Enormous Crocodile, a greedy crocodile slinks through the jungle with a very wicked plan: to gobble up unsuspecting children. But the other jungle animals—who've had quite enough of his clever tricks—band together to stop him. As the chase unfolds, courage and teamwork take center stage in this lively reimagining of a classic tale.
The production features a book and lyrics by Suhayla El-Bushra, music by Ahmed Abdullahi Gallab, and additional music and lyrics by Tom Brady. It is directed by Emily Lim and co-directed by puppetry designer Toby Olié, with puppetry co-design and supervision by Daisy Beattie. Set and costume design are by Fly Davis.
Presented at Rose Theatre, The Enormous Crocodile brings Dahl’s beloved story to life with toe-tapping tunes, a playful script, and a vibrant cast of puppets in a family-friendly stage experience.
