A woman’s new beginning is disrupted when she unknowingly invites a hungry ghost in.
On the night she plans to begin a new chapter with her secret girlfriend, a young woman dismisses her mother’s warnings about the start of the Ghost Month. After taking an orange from a family altar and pocketing a coin she finds on her journey, she arrives at their future home—unaware that her actions have invited a hungry ghost into her life.
As the supernatural presence begins to exert influence over her body and mind, hidden truths and carefully guarded secrets start to unravel. Blending romance, comedy, and horror, the play explores identity, desire, family expectations, and the tension between cultural superstition and rational belief. Written by Mei Leng Yew and directed by Ailin Conant, the production stars Mei Mac.
