Great acting, Disappointing, Cliched

See it if You like theatre and want to see something slightly different.

Don't see it if You are wanting a funny show. For s comedy I laughed very little. The big twist at the end of the show was obvious from the start.

Great staging, Insipid, Quirky

See it if you want to see a well staged and performed play with a very clunky script that’s nowhere near as funny as it wants and oughts to be.

Don't see it if you expect this comedy to elicit more than a mild chuckle or to make up for its foibles with a solid narrative. Read more

Entertaining, Dated, Clever

See it if you enjoyed the movie, you love slapstick humour.

Don't see it if you want to laugh often in a comedy play. It took about 30 mins for the first joke to land. Pacing is an issue. Jokes are better in act 2.

"Porter distils the essence of this classic comedy and, with Sams, offers a quintessentially theatrical experience."
