The lives of a group of five ordinary workers at a local supermarket are changed in an instant when their syndicate lottery numbers come in. They face personal and moral dilemmas, as they grapple with greed, loyalty, friendship, and more of the consequences that come with sudden fortune & fame. 'The Syndicate' explores the human side of winning a huge sum of money in the lottery and the challenges that money brings to their everyday lives.

This comedy-drama marks Kay Mellor's ('Fat Friends', 'Band of Gold') final play, which is an adaptation of the hit BBC drama, and also marks the directorial debut of actress Gaynor Faye ('Coronation Street', 'Emmerdale').
