At first, John Gregory Dunne and Joan Didion thought that their daughter, Quintana, just had the flu. Little did they know that she had pneumonia which had developed into septic shock - shortly thereafter, she was placed on life support. Just days later, John & Joan were sitting down to dinner when John suffered a fatal heart attack.
