About the Show

Sophia Chetin-Leuner's award-nominated drama examining the state of NHS mental health services.

Jay has just begun working as a temp at an NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service office, filled with well-meaning plans & enthusiasm to change the broken system.

Angela, however, has worked in the office for 30 years and isn't best pleased about the eager new hire who seems determined to challenge her at every turn.

Exhausted by archaic protocols, Jay starts to bend the rules in a desperate bid to help their patients. By pushing the limits of professional standards, he begins to realise what's at stake...

'This Might Not Be It' was shortlisted for The Women’s Prize for Playwriting in 2020, and longlisted for the Verity Bargate Award in 2020.
