A young donkey chases an astronaut's dream in a family musical adapted from Ximo Abadía's book.
A young donkey dreams of a life beyond carrying boxes and sets out for the city with one goal: becoming an astronaut. Refusing to accept the future others expect, Toto embarks on a journey to the moon in a carrot-powered rocket, discovering the value of perseverance, ambition, and the people who matter most. The musical is adapted from Ximo Abadía's illustrated children's book.
The production is adapted by Topper and Fred, the theatre company known for creating original family productions inspired by children's literature. It is presented as a co-production between Polka Theatre and Topper and Fred, bringing Abadía's story to the stage as a new musical for young audiences.
The production runs in the Y C Chan Theatre at Polka Theatre from 10 October to 1 November 2026. With a running time of 55 minutes, it is recommended for children aged 3–8 years and features accessible performances, including relaxed, captioned, and British Sign Language-interpreted performances.
