On a remote island in the Norwegian Sea, reclusive Nobel Prize-winning author Abel Znorko lives cut off from the world. His solitude is disturbed when journalist Erik Larsen arrives, seeking to question him about his newly published book — a passionate love story written entirely in letters. What begins as an interview quickly escalates into a battle of wills, with both men circling around the presence of a mysterious absent woman.

The play is written by Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt, whose work has been translated into more than 45 languages and staged internationally. This English version is rendered by Jeremy Sams (translator, director, and lyricist known for Noises Off, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Spend Spend Spend). Direction comes from Lydia Sax, OSO Artistic Director, whose credits include Things I Know to be True, The Revlon Girl, and Once Upon a Bridge.
