Following the death of her father, Penelope refuses to let go of the past, while his widow insists on moving forward. As family and mourners gather, unresolved grief turns into a struggle over memory, inheritance, and emotional territory. Set between Cyprus and England, the play traces how mourning hardens into conflict, drawing lines between generations and exposing long-buried resentments, fractured loyalties, and competing claims over love, legacy, and belonging.

The play is written by Philip de Voni and directed by Kerry Kyriacos Michael MBE, Creative Director of London’s Theatro Technis and an Olivier and UK Theatre Award winner. Michael’s direction frames the story through the lens of contemporary family drama while drawing on the emotional weight and ritual intensity associated with Greek tragedy.
