Entertaining, Great singing, Slow

See it if you want to spend an evening listening to all the biggest hits of the Four Seasons amidst a very detailed biographical narrative.

Don't see it if you don’t want to watch an- at times- overly detailed biopic of the Four Seasons, in which they play all the big hits but not always in full

Entertaining, Great singing

See it if you like the style of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and want to know more about their story.

Don't see it if you don't like jukebox musicals or want a more exhilarating experience. Being a biographical show it can get boring at times.

See it if You love Frankie Valley! A whole host of fun. Great music. A feel good night.

Funny, Dated

See it if You like a good old fun! Quick changes on stage, true story and it does not get boring

Don't see it if You are a feminist. Women just to entertain the men? Times were different back then but there are always different angles to explore

Dated, Funny, Overrated, Entertaining, Great singing

See it if you are intrigued by the evolution of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, whilst enjoying their top hits sung by talented singers.

Don't see it if like me, you can easily spot accents slipping and dislike a minimal set.

Consolation comes in watching the newcomer Ben Joyce — who only graduated from drama school this year — make such a fine job of the Valli vocals.

Not hard to see why this ran over 11 years on Broadway then immediately transferred to a smaller Off-Broadway house, "Oh What A Night" indeed.

Rather, Jersey Boys embodies the qualities of the band itself: unpretentious, uncomplicated, a bit cheesy and, with its by-numbers rags to riches narrative, steeped in the comforting mythology of the American dream.

Jersey Boys may have seemed like a reliably safe choice for the handsomely refurbished Trafalgar Theatre. But this production stretches out like an over-earnest tribute act that has been asked to fill an extra hour on stage.

...after all the upheaval the theatre scene has suffered during the last year and a half, if this musical succeeds in placing bums back in seats (and even getting some bums to wiggle down the aisles), then I can’t fault that.

Jersey Boys is a musical that efficiently delivers a cracking story and a seemingly endless catalogue of hit songs.
