This production of Swan Lake by the State Ballet of Georgia presents Tchaikovsky’s iconic ballet, following Prince Siegfried as he encounters Odette, the Swan Queen cursed by the sorcerer Rothbart. Drawn into a world of enchantment and deception, Siegfried’s love for Odette becomes central to a struggle against Rothbart’s power.
Staged with traditional choreography, elaborate sets, and period-inspired costumes, the production showcases the company’s classical approach to the repertoire. Under the artistic direction of Nina Ananiashvili, former prima ballerina with the Bolshoi Ballet, the performance highlights the technical precision and expressive storytelling of the ensemble.
