Aaron Sorkin’s stage adaptation of a classic novel returns to the West End.
Set in the American South during the 1930s, the story follows lawyer Atticus Finch as he defends a Black man falsely accused of a crime, while raising his children, Scout and Jem, in a community shaped by prejudice. As the trial unfolds, the children confront the realities of injustice, and Atticus’s commitment to fairness and truth is tested by a town resistant to change.
This stage adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird is written by Aaron Sorkin and returns to the West End for a limited season. The production stars Richard Coyle as Atticus Finch, reprising the role following his previous West End run. The novel’s author, Harper Lee, first published the work in 1960, and it remains a foundational text in American literature addressing race and moral responsibility.
