Pulitzer and MacArthur Genius Grant Winner Lynn Nottage's play tells the story of Mlima, an elderly “big tusker” elephant from a guarded reserve in Kenya. When Mlima is poached for his breathtaking ivory tusks, those tusks start a journey across the globe, interacting with a wide array of characters, each with their own goals and struggles relating to the ivory trade.
