Sixteen years following his graduation, Mitch happens to see Morrie's appearance on a television news show and finds out that his former teacher is battling Lou Gehrig's Disease. Mitch reunites with Morrie and what begins as a simple visit becomes a weekly visitation and a final class in the meaning of life.
