Edgy, Intense, Thought-provoking, Resonant, Confusing

See it if you want to be assured that Trump's America could be worse than it is. Dystopian stories appeal to you. You enjoy intensity.

Don't see it if you seek impressive, memorable performances. You're sensitive to intense sound, light, or violence. You don't like working to understand.

Confusing, Relevant, Great acting, Intense

See it if You want to see great acting and how this classic story is more relevant than ever in our current political times.

Don't see it if You can't handle intense violence. You may be confused if you haven't read the book as some of the plot points have been very condensed.

Graphic, Violent, Edgy, Intense, Relevant

See it if you know you're not going to get around to reading the book 1984.

Don't see it if you are easily unsettled. Honestly, it's not an easy book to adapt to stage and they tried, but it is not nearly as absorbing.

Absorbing, Dated, Intense

See it if It was well acted and well staged. The audience was interesting, young and absorbed.Im glad to have seen it,but I didn't feel connected to it

Don't see it if It's slow, the violence at the end was very well staged. If you're squeemish this might bother you

Thought-provoking, Relevant, Disappointing, Overrated, Whelming

See it if Orwell's dystopia undermined by bway substitution of loud and flashy for dramatic and intense. Torture scene is merely torturously boring.

Don't see it if Lack of heat between Wilde and Sturridge could reverse global warming. 50 of 100 minute runtime on video screens. We have TVs for that. Ugh.

Great singing, Great acting, Intense, Thought-provoking, Relevant

See it if You want to see a big Broadway production of this famous literary work, and you are not very squeamish or easily bored

Don't see it if You want to bring children with you - due to depicted torture it is not appropriate for kids (there were some in the audience); or get bored Read more

Thought-provoking, Relevant, Intense, Edgy, Great acting

See it if You want your mind stimulated.. Read the book first - though the well acted play is not a word for word presentation.

Don't see it if this is a first date. Or if physical and verbal abuse disturb your senses.
