Don't see it if if you are looking for original or groundbreaking musical theater. Feels like it was written 20 years ago.
See it if you like stories tied up with a bow at the end. Choreography is frickin' brilliant. Music is excellent. Lyrics are banal, at best.
Don't see it if you were hoping for a well rounded musical. Some of the performances are excellent (male leads), some are painful. Great ensemble.
See it if you want to see West Side Story with NYC flair. Highlights: singing, wholesomely funny

See it if you like musicals about gangsters in NYC, doo-wop singing, interracial relationships, parental concerns about mobsters, etc. Very good cast.
