This new staging of 'Part One of Angels in America, Millennium Approaches,' and of 'Part Two, Perestroika' had its world premiere last year in a sold-out run at the National Theatre in London.

See it if you want to experience an ambitious staging of this classic play, written way ahead of its time, it turns out. Cohn is now a proxy for Tr-mp

Overrated, Slow, Epic, Disappointing, Ambitious

See it if You are interested in this important work and you don’t mind sitting through 8 hours or material that could better be conveyed in 6 hours.

Don't see it if You are looking for more than a few meaningful moments, are turned off by hours of people yelling want a spectacular angel intro.

Also My companion put it best when she said she’d like to see this play in ... Read more Read less

Don't see it if you don't want to sit through a lot of didactic portions; you're disturbed by illness/blood on stage

Epic, Sweeping, Magnificent staging and design, Ambitious

See it if American theatre at its best - epic in breadth, darkly hilarious, tackling almost (but not quite) more than any one show can handle

Don't see it if You're looking for something light and/or short (this is NOT the 90 minute play that seems to populate theatre today)

Also I saw both parts in a day and did not feel the time passing by - it he... Read more Read less

Ambitious, Enchanting, Great acting, Epic, Intense

See it if you are looking for a truly bold and unafraid piece of theatre; if you want to see a cast act their BUTT off

Don't see it if you aren't ready to commit some time to this production - BOTH parts; if you can't handle metaphors or overarching themes

93
Absorbing, Edgy, Great acting, Must see, Thought-provoking

See it if you want to see a modern classic. The acting is great and the play is as important today as it was in the 90s.

Don't see it if you're looking for a light show. It's probably not great for small kids. The themes are heavy and require some serious digestion.

Ambitious, Great acting, Epic, Profound, Intense

See it if you want to see something epic with great acting.

Don't see it if the running time turns you off.
