Witty, Great writing, Lacks heat/passion, Dated, Slow

See it if Intelligently-written piece evokes late 80s. Director Mayer brings out comedy aspects of play, but defuses its underlying power/intensity.

Don't see it if Limited heat or passion - relying instead on scene-chewing dramatics instead of real connection among characters. Witty dialogue entertains.

Fluffy, Overrated, Indulgent, Funny, Great acting

See it if you want to see Adam Driver dominating the stage. Keri Russell could not keep up with his acting.

Don't see it if you want to see a better play or a musical.

Slow burn, Implausible, Dated, Disappointing, Great performance

See it if you want to see Adam Driver smolder as a lumbering, damaged brute, teetering between menace & seduction in a tepid Lanford Wilson revival.

Don't see it if you expect any sparks between Driver & Russell; you're tired of the flaming "gay best friend" stereotype to provide comic relief. Read more

Engaging, Confused, Great lead actor

See it if for Adam Driver's explosive performance, if you like to see a character-driven play about an unusual romance, & funny supporting characters.

Don't see it if uneven & muddled plays aren't your thing, the main characters are definitely complex but the rest are pure stereotypical cliches, not a must

Raunchy, Funny, Dated

See it if You want to see Adam Driver's excellent, thrilling performance of someone abusing substances. You like F'ed up romances.

Don't see it if There's not a load going on beyond the good performances. The story is sort of a domestic drama intermingled with badboy attraction. Read more

I remember this play as poweful and magnetic. this is not.

See it if You are interested in the principles. or Wilson.

Don't see it if You dont want to hear Driver, mostly yelling, in an odd voice. You dont want to have to wait for Russell to speak her lines. Read more

Disappointing, Quirky, Great acting, Entertaining

See it if you love Adam Driver or Brandon Uranowitz. They are wonderful and elevate the show immensely.

Don't see it if you're expecting a brilliant performance from Keri Russell.
