See it if you want a true spectacle. It's a big, bright musical with impressive staging, beautiful costumes, & wonderful acting.
Don't see it if you want a traditional plot. It has the shadows of a plot, but the main focus is on the characters & the passage of time.
See it if you love Sondheim. It's a gift to hear the songs in context. A touching play about life choices. Some grand spectacle, too.
Don't see it if you want perfect casting. BPeters was a disappointment. She couldn't sing the role and I found her acting stiff. Lots of other talent, tho.

Don't see it if you-don't like Sondheim-want a musical comedy-are looking for a modern avant-garde piece (this is classic/vaudevillian Broadway at its best)
See it if you are a fan of Sondheim & enjoy heartfelt stories with wonderful musical numbers. The last Broadway revival cast was absolutely awesome.

Don't see it if You get confused easily. The second act was also a bit slow, a friend of mine fell asleep during it.
